Frances Larson is an anthropologist and writer. She was educated at Durham University and the University of Oxford.

She is the author of Undreamed Shores: The Hidden Heroines of British Anthropology and Severed: A History of Heads Lost and Heads Found.

She lives in Oxford with her twin daughters and one day they might get a dog.
